Scripps College’s intellectually stimulating environment, the physical beauty of our campus, and the warmth of our community can’t be fully communicated through a website. We encourage you and your family to come visit us in person.
Students may register online for one or more of the following events: campus tour, information session, admission interview, and overnight stay.

Campus Tour
Our student-led campus tour provides a close-up view of the facilities and resources available at Scripps, as well as insight into the academic and social life of the College. All tours last approximately one hour. Online reservations are recommended but not required.
General Tour Hours
For general planning purposes only. Please consult the campus tour calendar for the most current schedule.
- Fall Semester: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
- October – Mid-November: Saturday, 11:00 a.m.
- Winter Break: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m.
- Spring Semester: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
- Summer Break: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m.
During exams and school breaks tours will be offered on a limited basis. For same-day tours, contact the Office of Admission at 909.621.8149 to confirm tour times offered.
Group Tours for High Schools and Community-Based Organizations
One-hour tours and short information sessions for groups of up to 20 female high school students are available on a case-by-case basis. Group tours are typically offered as follows:
- September 26 – November 30: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m.
- January 28 – March 27: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m.
- May – August: 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m.
Please submit an online request to have your group tour request considered by the Office of Admission.
Information Session
Led by a Scripps admission officer, these 45-minute sessions include a presentation about Scripps College and the admission process, and will feature plenty of time for questions and discussion. You may register online to attend, or sign up in the Office of Admission.

Admission Interview
While not required for admission, an interview can give you the opportunity to discuss your interests and goals, and to learn more about Scripps and the admission process. Online reservations are required for on-campus interviews and must be made with at least 5 days advance notice.
Interview Policies
From May 1 to December 14, interviews for rising and current high school seniors are available on campus.
- May-December: Monday-Friday, offered at various times throughout the day
- October -November: Saturday, 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
From May 1 to November 15, interviews for spring transfer applicants are available on campus.
- May-December: Monday-Friday, offered at various times throughout the day
From January 10 to April 12, interviews for fall transfer applicants are available on campus.
- January-April: Monday-Friday, offered at various times throughout the day
Interview Deadlines
- November 15: Early Decision I, Spring Transfer applicants
- December 14: Early Decision II, Regular Decision applicants
- April 12: Fall Transfer applicants

Overnight Stay
Current high school seniors can experience life on campus by spending the night in a Scripps residence hall, hosted by a current student. Online reservations are required for overnight stays and must be made with at least 10 days advance notice.
- September 26 – December 6: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 p.m.
- January 28 – May 2: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 p.m.
Overnight guests should check in at the Office of Admission at 4:00 p.m. Meals in the dining hall are provided by the College. Don’t forget to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and towel for your stay.
Required Overnight Stay Form
All overnight guests must complete the overnight stay emergency information/medical release/liability waiver form. This form is necessary for any prospective student staying overnight in a Scripps College residence. Please complete both pages of this form and either fax it to our office at (909) 621-7508 before your visit or bring it with you to campus. The prospective student WILL NOT be allowed to stay overnight on campus without this form signed by a parent or guardian – NO exceptions.
Class Visit
Attending a class is a great way to experience the academic environment at Scripps. Class visits are open to current high school seniors and transfer applicants; all class visits are subject to availability and professor approval, and only prospective students may attend classes.
During the Spring Semester, January 28 – May 2, prospective students will be able to sign up for class visits upon arrival in the Office of Admission. Courses are typically offered at the following times:
- 8:00-8:50 a.m., Monday-Friday
- 9:00-9:50 a.m., Monday-Friday
- 9:35-10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Thursday
- 10:00-10:50 a.m., Monday-Friday
- 11:00-11:50 a.m., Monday-Friday
- 12:00-1:10 p.m., Monday-Thursday
- 1:15-2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
- 2:45-4:00 or 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday
Please check in at the Office of Admission during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) to reserve your spot. Prospective students may only attend courses on the pre-approved class visit list, and visitors may not sign up prior to their arrival on the Scripps campus.
